So I have found that you can pretty much fish anywhere where there is water, and with the correct bite also. Bloodworms for freshwater fish (not the ocean), and Lugworms for the open sea. I do find however fishing in after you have used your Gulleye ability and search that location out, you do get alot better results from your fishing.
